Riding down East River, I look over my shoulder, and see the amazing view of Roosevelt Island. The water is glistening, and I am enjoying my self.
WE LOVE TO SEE IT.
This month’s newletter is really focused on enjoying the small accomplishments around the team and people around. It’s about narrowing our focus and really watching what you built before you take the next step.
Please Don’t Crash:
These days I really don’t need to do much besides show face! Proud moment for me to see Jxhar’s 3rd project being released. Since his first album, I have seen the kid grow musically, and do tremendous things. Please Don’t Crash is an album that talks about the many relationships Jxhar went through these last 2 years. It was accompanied by a small release show curated by his team in SOHO. Album posters were given around, and his mother was so proud. I felt happy. Please check out his album, Please Don’t Crash.
Guided by Obas Mentoring Program:
As most of you know, this past year was about understanding and experimenting the business model. I found an amazing opportunity lately.
I was able to work with a current SU student, Anika Russak, with rollouts, social media, and marketing within the music business industry. We have made strives to the point where she was able to secure an internship with FYI Brand Group. She used the skills from my book and my advice to help her build an extremely informative pitch deck. Check out some of her pitch deck slides as she prepares a rollout for H.E.R
GBO Audio Experience:
Episode 10 and 11 are extremely crucial. We celebrating 1 year with The Stage Door Platform, and it’s amazing. We are giving local artists an opportunity to feature their music while

Tune in to the wonderful episodes as they are informative!
Medium Blogs:
Stop Talkin’ Grown: One of the biggest conversation that has been trending around me is having kids, having a relationship, or having a family. Let’s talk about having a career, starting a business, or moving to a new state/country first before all that.
Goals Are Timeless: The goals we set in 2019 can be accomplished in 2021. I had a goal in 2019 to bridge states and country through music, and it is finally coming true in 2021.
Launchpad Love:
One home I definitely say I have grown to love is The Blackstone Launchpad. If you know me, I am really aiming for something like that in the near future. It is a creative hub for college students to launch start-ups or become a part of a start-up. I participated in their Interview Video where I talked about my experience with Launchpad. Always love to Linda and the fellow entrepreneurs from there.
SHIFTING YOUR MUSIC INTO A CAREER Volume 1:
Some people might be mad that I am still pushing Volume 1. I laugh because we still haven’t unpacked it fully. We are in Stage 3 with the book, and like I said we are talking about product extension. You will see the book in many forms, and it will be in different places.
Don’t believe me?
Dropping an amazing interview next week to celebrate 2 years of the book. This interview is with an amazing music business entrepreneur from Russia, and we used the book to compare the music business in Russia to the United States.
Such an insightful podcast!
