As I walked off stage at my last event, Vsteeze, an emerging Hip-Hip emcee, came up to me and told me, “The work you do is underrated.” At this point of the event, all I could do was give Vsteeze a hug. I can’t process my emotions at events because I am fully invested in making sure the event goes well with minimal drawback. There were two feelings I knew that was coming out: gratitude and confident. I was incredibly thankful to hear that someone realizes the hard work I do and see that not a lot of people talk about it. It brought me joy. As a result, this gratitude made me more self aware of myself, and I became more confident in the work that I do.
This next year is the year of the underdogs. A ton of my people have been working on amazing projects. Some have been working on short films, albums, art pieces, and many more. We are kind of done being underrated, and I think it’s time to put points on the board. 2024 is a big year and I can’t wait to show everyone what has been in the cut.
All For The Music (2)
All For The Music 2 was another successful event. Another big turnout! We went from 7 pm to 12 am, and it was great. I am learning to figure out how I can keep building foot traffic at the event. If people come from 8 pm to 10 pm, how can I get a second wave of people to come in? I am trying to pull an 8-hour event next time, so I am figuring out the formula. The next one is dated to go May 30th, 2024. I am rolling out some content at the top of next year with the book.
Wizardfest
I finished wrapping up a fantastic North Carolina and Virginia run this weekend. I was in front of over 500 people one night, which was excellent. I mentioned this because all 500 people can’t give you the satisfaction of a few who will cherish that moment. I had two contestants this weekend who made my weekend the best. One contestant was this 6-year-old boy who was excited to come, and he got the crowd jumping. After he won our costume contest, homie went around the venue giving everyone hi-fives lol. His mother was ready to go home, lol. The other contestant was a return contestant from my show in June. She said she had so much fun the first time she drove back again. I couldn’t help myself but tell her, “Thank you.” The next and final Wizardfest for 2023 is going to be Newburgh. Pull up as we are making it a Rager.
Dinner with Obas
After I left Colgate University, the students went to Tiffany Simmons and were shocked that they missed out on an amazing dinner with Obas and DJ 500k. The faculty members of Colgate University wanted us to come back. So by demand, Tiffany Simmons answered to the request. DJ 500k and I will be traveling to Colgate University on November 29th for an amazing night of trivia, ugly sweater contest, and more. Thank you Tiffany once more for allowing this duo to turn up with you.
Under The Roof
I have been posting Avengers Assemble on my Instagram stories for some time now. These three individuals will accompany me to Baltimore on December 8th to shut down The Crown with Tew World Order, Bucky Malone, Scarav Shabazz, and Lord Noblenaga. I am thrilled and excited for these two individuals as they will close the year strong. Klassik Poet performing with Grammy-nominated songwriter Jon Batiste. Indigo General shutting down Jamaica Music Festival. Finally, PE$ O Kashway first complete set in Baltimore. It will be a great day. If you are interested in coming, pull up below.
Conclusion
I got comfortable being underrated and not known. It is acceptable for real. The impact I leave on people resonates; they want to be a part of whatever is going on next time. These signs of understanding my place value within the creative world have led me to this fantastic opportunity to host a Holiday at Palisades. I will host an event at Palisades Mall on December 23rd from 11 am to 3 pm, where we will have fun activities for families and fantastic music for people to have a good time. I will also bring out a special guest to aid in entertaining the crowd.
My underrated notice doesn't match the fiery of my drive. I continue to innovate my brand within the entertainment world. It could be an artist's coach, emcee, etc. The goal is to improve each year and make it feel like my last. I have sacrificed a ton, but it’s coming together and the fruit is just ripe to eat. Thanks to everyone for constantly supporting me and Happy Turkey Day to your and yours!
