Aye.. It’s August! The month of relaxation and enjoyment for Guided by Obas and I. July was definitely a revealing month for me. There’s one word that summarizes July…TIME!
There’s nothin more valuable these days than time to me! Last month, I felt as though, my time was maximized between teaching rising 8th graders entrepreneurs, getting amazing feedback from industry moguls, and more importantly, figuring out what new opportunities I can explore!
Take The Step Now! Take the step to really seek opportunity and hone into skills because I mean we only live once!
I told my good friend, who was my host for a show I did in Boston, to do that, and here she is below curating her own event! Couldn’t be prouder.
Teaching Entrepreneurship:
Last month, I had a chance to see if a proof of concept would work, and it definitely did. I had the opportunity to teach entrepreneurship to rising 8th graders, and what a success it was. Students really had some creative ideas. One student was building computers and reselling it via his website. Another student came up with a stabilizing cane for people who were disabled who couldn’t stand on public transportation. Just amazing ideas. Even the parents were receptive to it. I can’t be more happy and inspired to see people that age wanting to start their own. They have the resources these days. LET’S BE THE LEADERS & Guided Them!
We Create Episode #1
I can’t believe I am finally dropping some Behind The Scenes of Singing Buildings project. I decided to create episodes out of these behind the scenes because I work with some of the funniest and dopest creatives and I think it’s funny when I have on them at any time. The purpose of this is for you to see the fun in the process as we work on massive projects.
Episode 1 features Zain Elwakil and Mar 1 as we travel all the way to the Mecca named Syracuse to create Singing Buildings #2. From hot venues to a dog clearing out a small friends gathering haha, you will see that we were genuinely having fun.

Music Releases:
LaRussell x Tope- Marlin 7
“Marlin 7” is a project that has been sitting in my email and ITUNES library since February 15th. It was a late night session for me at my office, and I was really tired. TOPE sent me three singles from this project, and I flipped out!
LaRussell, recording artist from North Vallejo and owner of Good Company, drew life into me with TOPE producing damn near the entire project.
My friends and I flew out to Oakland in June to see TOPE. Nothin but great conversation from the goat! LaRussell and TOPE are really working. Proud of both of them. You need to give this project an ear because there are other people giving it an ear as well.
Meko Sky: Lose/Lose
Meko Sky is working on his project, “665”, and has made me a part of his journey haha. I didn’t sign up for it, but it just happened I guess. We here now with his 2nd single off the project! I definitely have been playing it a ton with my friends, so I am sharing it with you.
Nikmoody: “Little Things”
The Little Things is a taste before the album comes out. Last week, Nikmoody decided when the album is coming out and we approve over here. Before then, we want you to enjoy this EP. The project debuts on August 25th. My favorite track off this project is Hope So, even though, The Usual has some personal experience to it! We are seeing another side of Nikmoody where he’s becoming comfortable expressing who he truly is and living in the moment. To help us really get this, Presave below, and tap into his latest single, “Take It Or Leave It”.
Nutty P: Communic8
Last but not least, Nutty P is dropping his single off, Big Smoke. You know I had a chance to listen to it already, and this is a banger. He even has a full motion picture to this project, which I am excited to see. Listen… Connect with the international vibes and

Shifting Your Music Into A Career Volume 1:
People ask me when Volume 2 is coming out because I think they tired of me promoting Volume 1 haha. I feel you!
That’s why next month I am having an exclusive preview talk on one of the chapters for our next Volume at LLOHI in Brooklyn. We needed to do a rooftop because WE are coming in different next year, so here is a mini-preview. Joining me will be a special artist rocking with me and the crowd! Date is tentative.
Looking at September 8th or 15th, definitely from 8pm to 10pm… MARK THOSE CALENDARS.
Til then I am off and enjoying the rest of August off social media and living. If you need me shout! If not, continue to spread the work of the book
