Introduction

It has been a wild, fun year. I have learned so much this year, and the opportunities that are coming in the future are endless. I am very blessed and fortunate to have people support me worldwide. They have welcomed me with open arms and made me a part of their family. The love is refreshing, and I can’t thank them enough.
In October, some of my London family members came to visit me. I was so thrilled as I hadn’t seen them in 5 years. The last time I was in London, I didn’t see them because the schedules didn’t align properly. Reuniting with my London family was needed as it gave me a more precise direction for how to move in 2025. The same problem that the UK is experiencing is identical to the problem with NYC venues. How can we help these venues recover?
The Industry Episode 4
Haunted by the Past, Doubted by the Present, and Scared from The Future.
Episode 4 of The Industry is a real turning point in the series! In this episode, my present catches up with me to where I question my past and see the future dwindle quicker than expected because I compare my journey to my mentors and peers. I go down a path of reflection and try to make sense of the many projects I have done. Will these various art work lead me to the path one needs to be? I am not sure, and the uncertainty about the future is palpable, yet I am confident it’s not for nothing.
Conclusion

As I mentioned, many bars and restaurants need help to break even. This is very similar to the UK scene as well. There are a ton of reasons people are not going to these places. Inflation could be a factor, yet another factor is incentives and curation. People need to find the right vibes for their friends and loved ones. I used to think a few years back that people wanted to turn up and dance. As I have gotten older, sometimes I want to relax and keep it chill. This new outlook has allowed me to expand my hosting outlet and start to do trivia nights, game nights, and bingo nights. I get the same crowd and engagement in a different environment. The bar always gets a decent crowd to enjoy and have a great time. I am very happy to be part of the solution to a major problem.
In the next newsletter, I will be sending out a survey to get a better understanding of my audience. Thank you all, and you have been a blessing.
