I'm Comfortable Missing Out
Letting go of the wrong room gave me access to the right one.
Introduction

What a crazy run this year has been.
I never expected it to be this busy. Twenty-six weeks have passed, and I’ve hosted events during 22 of them. That’s incredible to think about. It would have been 23, but I made the intentional decision to relax and enjoy my time in London. Looking back, it’s been nothing but growth.
Every week has brought new challenges, many out of my control, but each one has pushed me to adapt and find solutions. Those are the moments I thrive in because they shape me into a better entrepreneur and leader.
Lately, I kept asking myself, “Where have these rooms been all my life?” Then it hit me—the rooms were always there. It just took time to step into the right ones.
I’ve also learned that not every opportunity is the right opportunity. Sometimes I was too quick to believe every promising conversation, only to realize I hadn’t read between the lines. But those experiences didn’t set me back—they sharpened my discernment.
The biggest lesson from the first half of the year? As Indigo says, discernment. Surround yourself with people whose intentions match their character.
I’m excited for what’s ahead because I know I’m exactly where I need to be.
Haiti vs Brazil Watch Party

There isn’t a country I love more than Haiti.
It’s been over 52 years since Haiti first qualified for the FIFA World Cup, and I had to celebrate this moment with my people—the ones who continue to create the culture, energy, and identity that mean so much to me.
Watching Haiti take on Brazil was emotional. Brazil is one of the world’s strongest teams, so the odds were always stacked against us. But the result wasn’t the biggest takeaway. What mattered most was seeing our community come together, united by pride and love for our country.
The moment was even more meaningful because of my grandfather, who helped Haiti secure its first-ever World Cup appearance. He was a legend back home, and people knew it. The photo below captures him being carried by his teammates in celebration after Haiti qualified in 1973 for the 1974 World Cup.
I only have one thing to say:
“Grenadye, alaso.” 🇭🇹
A special thank you to the staff at Somethin’ Else for opening your doors and allowing us to share such a meaningful moment together.
Knicks in 5

New York is back—and it came back with a championship.
The Knicks ended a 53-year drought by bringing home the third championship in franchise history. This team embodied everything it means to be a New Yorker: grit, resilience, hustle, and the belief that anything is possible.
As the city celebrated, fans packed bars and restaurants across New York. Many found their way to the Chelsea Hotel and discovered The Rose, managed by PVD and me, where New Yorkers came together to cheer on every game of the Finals.
We celebrated all five games together, and every moment was unforgettable.
A special thank you to N.O.R.E. for stopping by and celebrating with us. 🏆🗽
Stay Cookin’ Radio Episode 2

If I were a rapper, you’d definitely hear a lot of Big Chef Dog Productions tags on my records.
I met Big Chef Dog through a mutual friend, and from day one we’ve always respected each other’s work ethic. His production has a soulful, gritty sound that takes underground artists to another level. Every beat feels intentional, reminding me of the kind of music you hear from artists like Curren$y, Larry June, and Freddie Gibbs—smooth, authentic, and timeless.
When the GOAT invited me to stop by his radio station to share some words and bring the energy, it was an easy yes. I was joined by some familiar faces—Balakay and Sensewars—who brought their own flavor and elevated the conversation. Shout out to Srebbie and Jhershey for helping make this episode one to remember.
This one is special. There are gems, great conversations, and some serious heat throughout.
Tune in. 🎙️🔥
Conclusion

Chicago keeps earning more of my respect.
I came out to host Bingo Loco, but an unexpected opportunity let me finally check something off my list: covering the WNBA.
The Chicago Sky couldn’t miss. They shot over 50% from three, and Kamilla Cardoso was a perfect 13-for-13 from the field. Covering the game reminded me how much I love sports media.
What’s even better is that this opportunity came through my own brand. A former contract would’ve kept me out of the room, but not anymore.
Sometimes missing out is exactly what you need to make room for something bigger.
Let’s see what the second half of the year has in store.

No such thing as FOMO when you create your own opportunities! Keep killin it brother
